.

2. Fairgrounds at Capilano Mall

When:  Mondays 10-noon, Tuesdays 1-3-pm and Thursdays 10-noon with alternating levels.

Beginning: Monday January 12

Registration: the Thursday 10+ days before, at 7-pm, beginning January 1st

Cost:  See below.  Sorry, Fairground passes can NOT be applied to these sessions.  No substitutions.

Format/Ratio/Cost:

  • Rotational Play = 30 players on 6 courts for two hours; Cost = $16.80 plus processing fees ($1.32)
  • Round Robin, DUPR and King = 24 players on 6 courts for two hours; Cost = $21.00 plus fees

Demand will be monitored and this could be tweaked.  Number of courts may also be reduced if the session doesn’t fill.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:  Two factors:

1. NSPC is on the hook for court costs unless we give 7-days notice.

2. Its volunteers like Vyna and I who have to administer the playing and waitlists.

So while this formula may change for the February sessions, lets try this:

  • Full refund less processing fees if your spot is cancelled before Wednesday 9-am the week before.
  • Between Wednesday and Sunday 9-am, amount to Be Determined.
  • After Sunday 9-am, no refund.

.

2. How To Register:

Go to the Member’s Zone of the NSPC website and sign in.

4. Happy 100th Birthday Elmer Helm!

Elmer came to check out the new courts during our Winter Party at Fairgrounds.  Here he is with longtime fellow tennis advocates and pickleball players John Kennedy and Maureen Jarman.

Elmer was the original NS racquets advocate, being pivotal in getting the tennis center built! Read the story HERE.

BTW … NSPC members contributed $441 to the Christmas Bureau and a cart-load of winter clothing to Family Services of the NS at the Winter Party.
