Options for Moving 29th Street Pickleball Courts to an Alternative Location in the Short Term

On December 13, 2021, Council directed staff to report back to Council in January 2022 to present options for moving the 29th Street pickleball courts to an alternative location in the short term.

Staff identified three options, but also noted that no location in West Vancouver is ideal.

After considerable discussion, Council did not proceed with a temporary relocation option for the 29th Street pickleball courts.

Instead, Council directed staff to close the 29th Street courts to pickleball effective April 30, 2022.

Council also directed staff to report back on the feasibility of installing permanent pickleball courts at Hugo Ray Park in summer 2022, especially concerning noise, traffic, and other impacts.
